PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

The Central Government had launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to benefit marginal farmers. Under this scheme, the government would transfer six thousand rupees yearly to small and marginal farmers in their accounts. They should have sufficient documents to prove that they are small and marginal farmers. Farmers having two heaters of land will only get this benefit.

The monetary help provided by the government will be received by the farmers in three instalments of two thousand on each instalment. The government had decided that the first instalment would be received by the farmers (rs 2000) from 1st April to 31st July, the farmers would receive the second instalment between 1st August and 30th November, and the farmers would receive the final or third instalment from 1st December to 31st March.

This financial help will be provided to the farmers who own two heaters of land either individually or on combined ownership of landholding. This scheme originated in 2018 and came into proper effect in 2019 the government has been giving such instalments to farmers since then. Seven thousand five hundred crores have been allotted to this scheme which aims to cover the lives of 125 million farmers.
